The Ridersystem is the SSBS digital system that Swiss ski and snowboard schools use to record the learning progress of their riders. The SSBS operates the system, and ski schools enter the data of their riders in it. We process your data in accordance with Swiss data protection law.

Riders: name, email address, date of birth, gender, address and language, plus your courses, assessments, levels and badges. For children, the ski school enters the data together with their legal guardians.

Schools and instructors: name, email address, telephone number and login details.

Your data is visible to your ski school, its instructors (their own courses only) and the SSBS. The Ridersystem is not intended for health or payment data.

The rider area works without a password: we send you a personal link by email, valid for 15 minutes. Do not pass it on.

Every Ridercard has a QR code or link. Through it, your name, levels, badges and courses are visible without signing in. Only share the link with people you want to show this information to.

We use technically necessary cookies, for example for signing in and protecting forms.

On this website we also use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to understand how the website is used. Information such as the pages visited, device, browser and approximate location is transmitted to Google. The Ridersystem does not pass any data from your rider profile to Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.

The hosting provider automatically stores the browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer and time of the request.

We send you emails about the Ridersystem (sign-in links, welcome emails, seasonal newsletters). You can unsubscribe from newsletters at any time using the unsubscribe link. We store enquiries sent through the contact form in order to answer them and do not pass them on without your consent.

For the school finder we embed Google Maps, for the font "Open Sans" Google Fonts (both Google Ireland Limited), and in the rider area Bunny Fonts (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia). Your browser connects to these providers, and your IP address, among other things, is transmitted.

For weather badges we query Open-Meteo for the weather at the place and day of the course. Only coordinates and date are transmitted, no information about riders.

We do not sell your data. We only pass it on to service providers needed for operation (hosting, email delivery) or where the law requires it. We keep your data for as long as you use the Ridersystem and delete it on request.

You have the right to information about, correction and deletion of your data, and you can withdraw consent at any time. For children, legal guardians exercise these rights. Contact your ski school or the data protection officer named above. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
